Custom-engineered for pure outdoor simplicity, this traditional cooperage-style solid wood tub operates without a single wire, circuit board, or electrical connection. On freezing winter nights, feed the external stainless steel firebox with dry firewood to heat the tub into a steaming hot soak. On warm summer days, leave the water cold and use it as a high-volume cold plunge.

The tub is constructed using natural, premium kiln-dried pine wood staves, bound tightly together by heavy-duty adjustable stainless steel bands. Pine is prized for its pleasant natural aroma, excellent heat retention, and beautiful organic wood grain. Powered by an external marine-grade stainless steel wood stove, water circulates naturally through a convective thermosiphon loop — hot water rises into the tub while cold water sinks back into the heater. This simple, elegant system delivers a quiet, immersive soak for up to five adults.

Key Product Features & Core Engineering

Authentic Nordic Wood Experience: Built from natural, high-grade solid pine staves that release a calming, pleasant aroma when filled with hot water.

Dual Hot & Cold Utility: Functions as a wood-heated hot tub or a natural cold plunge tub for year-round use.

Convective Thermosiphon Heating: A highly efficient external stainless steel wood stove heats the tub entirely through gravity-driven water convection — zero electricity or pumps required.

Adjustable Stainless Steel Bands: Heavy-duty, tension-adjustable stainless steel hoops wrap the exterior to ensure a tight, secure seal as the wood expands and contracts.

Spacious 4-to-5 Person Seating: A generously sized circular tub with deep wooden walls provides comfortable, upright soaking room for four to five adults.

Traditional Cooperage Craftsmanship: Interlocking tongue-and-groove staves expand and seal naturally when hydrated, creating a time-tested watertight structure.

Technical Specifications Summary

Feature / System Metric

Specification

Brand / Manufacturer

ALEKO® — Premium Outdoor Living & Sauna Series

Model Classification

Round Solid Pine Wood-Fired Hot Tub & Cold Plunge (PEWSHTUB-AP)

Soaking Capacity

Comfortable footprint for 4 to 5 Adults

Tub Construction Material

Premium Kiln-Dried Solid Pine Wood Staves (Tongue-and-Groove Profile)

Tension Binding Bands

Heavy-Duty Marine-Grade Adjustable Stainless Steel Hoops

Heater Assembly

High-Output External Stainless Steel Wood-Burning Firebox Stove

Heating Method

Direct Thermal Exchange via Passive Gravity-Driven Thermosiphon Loop

Total Water Volume

Approximately 250 - 320 Gallons (946–1,211 Liters)

Included Safety Cover

Insulated, Clip-Locking Heavy-Duty Weather Cover (Keeps temperature stable)

Comprehensive Product Packaging List

1 × ALEKO Round Pine Wood Hot Tub Stave & Base Assembly Kit

1 × External Stainless Steel Wood-Fired Stove Heater

1 × Multi-Section Stainless Steel Chimney Pipe with Protective Mesh Heat Shield

1 × Matching Curved Solid Pine 3-Step Boarding Stairs

1 × Heavy-Duty Insulated Weather Cover

1 × Master Connection Hardware Pack, High-Temp Connection Hoses, and Setup Manual

Critical Field Installation & Operational Guidelines

Solid, Level Foundation Setup: When fully filled with water and guests, this wooden tub can weigh over 3,500 lbs. It must be placed on a completely flat, level, structural surface such as a concrete slab, reinforced wooden deck, or highly compacted gravel pad. Never place directly on soft grass or uneven dirt.

Wood Swelling & Hydration Process: Like all traditional cooperage tubs, the pine staves will leak slightly when first assembled and filled — completely normal. Within 24 to 72 hours, the staves absorb water, swell tightly, and form a natural watertight seal. Keep the stainless steel bands at a firm (not over-tightened) tension during this phase.

Strict Dry-Fire Prevention: Never light a fire in the wood stove if the tub is empty or the water level is below the top connection pipe. The stove relies on constant water flow to regulate its temperature — firing it dry will warp the steel walls and permanently ruin the heater.

Freezing Winter Care: In sub-zero temperatures, never leave standing water in the tub when not in use. Frozen water expanding inside the tub, pipes, or heater can split the staves and crack the stove. Drain completely if the tub will sit unheated over winter.

Disclaimer: This product is intended for general wellness, fitness, recovery, relaxation, or home use.
